Who is this program for
Innovative entrepreneurs with a unique and scalable business idea that has the potential to create jobs in Canada. Up to 5 people can apply together as owners of the same business.
Main criteria
Process steps
1. Develop your business idea
Create a solid business plan for an innovative and scalable business.
2. Get support from a designated organization
Pitch your idea to designated venture capital funds, angel investor groups, or business incubators.
3. Receive letter of support
If an organization agrees to support your business, they will provide you with a letter of support and send a commitment certificate to IRCC.
4. Submit permanent residence application
Submit your PR application to IRCC with the letter of support, language results, and proof of funds.
5. Apply for work permit (optional)
You can apply for a work permit to come to Canada and work on your business while your PR application is being processed.
